11.11.2004 - The State Duma has adopted in the first reading a bill setting the lower limit of 50,000 members
Under the bill, the minimal strength of a party has to be 50,000 members, rather than 10,000 as now. A political party has to run regional offices no less than 500 people strong in more than half of the 89 Russia’s constituent regions, and offices no less than 250 people strong in other regions.

If the Justice Ministry registers the party to get it on an official footing, it will certainly run for parliament.
