Group of Army 58 reaches peacekeepers' base to help them
One of the battalion tactical groups of Army 58 that came to Tskhinvali's outskirts has broken through to the base camp of Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia to help them, the Russian ground troops commander’s aide Igor Konashenkov told Itar-Tass.
The group is taking all appropriate measures to evacuate the wounded Russian peacekeepers to hospitals. The servicemen who reached the camp have brought additional ammunition and food for the peacekeepers.
