Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said the most important task for his government was reducing inflation.
“The most important task of the government is to reduce, suppress inflation,” Putin said opening a government meeting on Monday.
“All decisions leading to possible increases in budget expenditures should be taken as carefully as possible, taking into account their impact on macroeconomic stability,” the prime minister said.

effective as possible. There must be no ineffective expenditures,“ he said.
