Inter RAO UES and Atomstroyexport will create a consortium for participating in international tenders for the construction of nuclear power plants, Inter RAO UES chief executive Yevgeny Dod told RBC.
He noted that this would allow the companies to offer the global market a radically new product, which would include not just power plant construction, but also the supply of hardware, the facilitation of electricity sales, and the provision of a project financing plan. The first joint project abroad will be the participation in a tender for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Turkey. The consortium expects to make its bid in the tender, which will be accepted until September 15, 2008.
