Russia defeats Greece at European football championship
Moscow football fans are celebrating Russia's victory over Greece in a second round of the Group D European football championship 1-0 (1-0) on Sunday. Konstantin Zyryanov scored the first and only goal on the 33rd minute of the game. The Russian national team will play the last D Group match against Sweden on June 18, 2008.
Despite the late hour, the sounds of crackers and fireworks can be seen all over the Russian capital. Sport bars in the city centres are full. Car sirens are wailing, and passengers sitting in cars are waving the scarves of their favourite football clubs and Russian national flags.
