Russia ice hockey team brings World Championship Cup in Kremlin
The Russian ice hockey team has brought the World Championship Cup in the Kremlin on Tuesday. Right after a triumphant comeback from Canada to Moscow the Russian ice hockey team headed for a meeting with President Dmitry Medvedev.
Along with Russian ice hockey players and coaches, taking part in the meeting at the Catherine Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace are Minister of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy Vitaly Mutko, chief of the Federal Agency for Sports and Physical Culture Vyacheslav Fetisov and President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak.

rs and the coaches of the Russian gold team on the victory in the World Ice Hockey Championship on Monday, the presidential press service reported.
“From match to match our ice hockey squad showed more and more brighter and beautiful play and proved convincingly in the decisive final match that Russia deserved to occupy the leading position in the world ice hockey,” Medvedev said in a message of congratulation.
“The highest skills, team play, discipline and a strong will helped you in a tense struggle to just “force” the victory from strong rivals and win the gold medal,” the message runs.
The president expressed confidence that “a brilliant triumph of our ice hockey team at the World Ice Hockey Championship in Canada will be imprinted forever as “a golden page” in the glorious history of the national sport,” Medvedev said in the message.
