The Russian, Indian and Chinese foreign ministers will meet on Wednesday in Yekaterinburg, in the Urals, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier the ministry said that Russia's Sergei Lavrov, China's Yang Jiechi and India's Pranab Mukherjee would focus on economic relations, globalization and regional security issues.

On May 16 Brazil's Foreign Minister Celso Amorim will join his Russian, Chinese and Indian counterparts during a meeting of foreign ministers from the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) to discuss the global economy and energy security.

"Besides, issues of international development and cooperation, tackling climate change will also be on the agenda," Boris Malakhov said.

The sides are expected to issue a joint communique on the results of the meeting.
