Patriarch urges Christians to remember God’s love and keep Easter joy
Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia urged Christians to always remember God’s love and keep Easter joy in their hearts.
Christ’s resurrection is “the concentration of our faith”, the patriarch said in his pre-Easter message to believers.
“Easter joy was the natural state of spirit for our saints,” he added, recalling St. Serafim of Sarov and John of Kronshtadt.

He expressed hope that the memory of Christ the Saviour “will illuminate the life of our families, communities and peoples by spiritual light, and peace and happiness will reign in our homes”.
Alexy II will lead the overnight Easter service at Moscow’s Christ the saviour Cathedral on Saturday.
