The Labor Party of Georgia has called on all Georgian political opposition groups to stand up against the recognition of Kosovo's independence.
"We invite all opposition political groups and non-governmental organizations in Georgia to sign a declaration against the recognition of the independence of Kosovo as an international legal entity," Labor Party leader Kakha Dzagania said at a news briefing on Saturday.
The Georgian authorities "could decide to recognize Kosovo's inde | Ads |  |
pendence, but this step would be used against Georgia," he said.
Dzagania also called on international organizations and foreign governments not to recognize Kosovo's independence, as "this precedent could lead to unpredictable consequences in Europe and worldwide."
