Visa applicants invited to address British visa centers
Britain has changed the order of accepting biometric data from Russian citizens who apply for British visas as of January 14, 2008, a source from the British embassy said.
Visa applicants will no longer have to visit the British embassy in Moscow. All the applicants for the British visas regardless of their citizenship might undergo a procedure of taking biometric data and a digital photograph at British visa centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg simultaneously with making a visa application, the embassy source said.

e their biometric data and a digital photograph. If an applicant refuses or fails to provide the necessary biometric data his visa application will not be processed, the embassy source said.
The new regulations have already come into force in St. Petersburg , and in Yekaterinburg the new order will go into effect - on January 17. To ensure a quicker switchover to the new regulations British visa center in Yekaterniburg will be closed to visa applicants on January 15, but open to appliicants whose passports are ready and who might collect them on that day.
