dent.

"We are greatly satisfied to see Olympic movement progress. We consider Paralympic development of no smaller importance. Russian authorities are paying attention not only to the athletic but the social aspect of Paralympics," he pointed out.

President Putin regards Russia as one of the worlds leading athletic countries. He is sure a majority of the nation will be enthusiastic about hosting the Olympics.

"Official mood is among essential parts of Olympic arrangements, but certainly not the principal. What matters most is how an overwhelming majority of Russians will treat the Olympics," he remarked.

"More than five hundred Olympic champions now live in Moscow alone. In fact, I dont think there is another city in the whole wide world to possess such a bring constellation of talents," Mr. Putin went on.

"Russia will celebrate, in 2012, the centenary of its participation in Olympics," he added.

The President said he knew how hard the IOC commission experts were working in Moscow. "You managed to see many things, and talk to your Russian colleagues," said the President, and reassured that he was enjoying todays conference.
