The Igor Moiseyev song and dance folk group is starting a grand foreign tour to Greece and the United States on Monday. The first guest performance will be given in Athens tonight.
“The concerts in the Greek capital will take place after a ten-year interval,” the group’s Director Yelena Shcherbakova told Itar-Tass.
The artists will stay in Greece until December 27.

s know the Moiseyev song and dance group very well. It was the first Soviet group to visit the United States in 1958. The Bolshoi Theatre troupe went overseas the next year in 1959.
Shcherbakova said that the ensemble would return to Moscow only in spring.
