A concert of Jewish symphony music will take place in the Bolshoi Theater on Saturday. Andrei Rozendent who played young David Schwartz in Vladimir Mashkovs movie Papa will participate in the concert.

This charity concert is dedicated to Hanuka, one of main Jewish holidays, and opens a series of events devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Moscow choral synagogue, which will be marked on August 1, 2006, said the Moscow Jewish religious community.
Andrei Rozendent, 15, laureate of an international contest, and the Bolshoi Theaters symphony orchestra will perform Ernst Blochs Improvisation, which is considered a masterpiece of Jewish symphony music. This composition was performed in Russia for the last time 25 years ago during the Olympic Games in Moscow in the Conservatorys Great Hall by the Soviet State Symphony Orchestra under Yevgeny Svetlanovs baton. This time Israels Eli Yaffe will conduct the Bolshoi orchestra.
Prominent cantor Haim Adler and Israeli instrumentalist Asaf Rot will participate in the Hanuka charity concert in the Bolshoi Theater.
