Opposition supporters lifted the blockade of the Ukrainian government’s building on Thursday morning.
Several policemen were on guard near its entrance and a small tent compound of picketers with drums remained nearby.
They will be brought up to the feet if Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, who is on a vacation, comes and tries to enter it.
By the decision of the opposition-proclaimed national salvation committee, Yanukovich, who was a rival of opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko in the | Ads |  | recent parliamentary elections, is not to be allowed to enter the building until December 26, for which re-voting of the second round of the elections has been set.
Buildings of the presidential administration remain besieged by supporters of Yushchenko.
One of opposition activists, member of parliament Yuri Lutsenko, said “picketing of the presidential residence will continue until a new president enters it”.
