Basing on proofs the court confirmed that documents that Danilov sold to the Chinese side constituted a state secret.
The physicist was arrested in the beginning of 2001 and was put under recognizance since September 2003. The jury found the guilt of the defendant unproved on December 29, 2003 and acquitted him but the prosecutor’s office of the Krasnoyarsk territory appealed the verdict.
The Supreme Court vacated the acquittal verdict to Danilov on July 23 and sent the case for reconsideration with another composition of the jury.
