The Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) has okayed fixing the role and place of the new manned spacecraft Clipper in doing transport service for the International Space Station, says the Roskosmos communique, which has come to hand at RIA Novosti.
"Research will be done in 2005, to fix Clippers role and place in doing transport and technical service for the ISS, as well as manned and unmanned craft in the post-2015 orbital infrastructure", the communique reads.
The official spokesman for Roskosmos told RIA Novosti: "The fe | Ads |  | deral space programme until 2015 speaks of creating the Clipper manned craft but yet nothing of its being linked to a certain kind of carrier rockets".
According to the communique, a decision on plans and terms of further work on this project, including with the involvement of Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus, will be taken with account for the research done, as well as results of the feasibility study of the Ukrainian Zenit and budding Russian boosters.
