The weighted average dollar exchange rate amounted to 28.64 RUR/USD at the beginning of todays special session on tomorrow deals. This figure is RUR0.03 lower than the official dollar exchange rate set by the Central Bank for November 9. As such, the dollar has continued falling against the ruble today.
The ruble has strengthened against the dollar for a third special session in a row. At the previous UTS, the dollar lost RUR0.10 due to the absence of Central Banks support. Moreover, the low on deals dropped to 28.64 RUR/USD at a special session on tomorrow deals on November 5 and market participants sold more than $1.2bn in this sector alone.
Today | Ads |  | s activity of commercial banks is far lower. This can be evidenced by the trade volume that reached a little more than $20m after a half hour of trade at the UTS. To all appearances, banks are facing certain problems with dollar liquidity after a massive selling of dollars over the past few days.
