The share of customs payments in the tax component of the federal budget has reached 43.5 percent. The customs bodies transfer 158 million U.S. dollars to the budget every day, Prime-Tass economic news agency reports, quoting a source at the Russian Federal Customs Service on the eve of its professional day. Russia marks Customs Officers Day on October 25.
The Russian customs bodies transferred nearly 850 billion roubles to the federal budget for the first nine months of 2004. This figure is 35 percent more than the one set by the government assignment.
According to government plans, the customs organisations are | Ads |  | to transfer to the budget 1,300 billion roubles in 2005, which is nearly 50 percent more than in 2004.
