The unauthorised protest organised by the opposition in the centre of Minsk on Monday evening has been going on for about three hours.
Opposition activists rallied in Oktryabrskaya Square to protest “manipulations and falsification of the results of the referendum on changes to the Constitution and parliamentary elections in Belarus”.
They urged the European Union and all democratic countries not to recognise the results.

o the president’s administration but met resistance. More than a dozen people were detained.
Dispersed groups of protesters are continuing unauthorised rallies in the centre of Minsk, waving EU flags and changing nationalistic mottoes.
