Through Chevening scholarships the British government invests in individuals with focused career plans, the potential to become influential leaders in their field and the desire to contribute to Russia’s future.
Every year Chevening scholarships are awarded to 40-50 candidates.
A British Chevening scholarship offers you:
- Access to high quality UK education in UK university you selected - An opportunity to obtain a postgraduate Master’s qualification - The option of undertaking a shorter period of study or research (minimum 3 months) - The stimulating experience of being part of a dynamic international community
Priority fields of study:
- Public Administration (including Public Health and Urban Planning as well as governance issues) - International Relations (including international security) - Political Studies - Public, Constitutional, International and Human Rights Law; Law Enforcement - Journalism (print and broadcasting media) - Sustainable development and environmental studies (including climate change, environmental protection; planning and management issues); Energy Security;Energy efficiency and renewable energy - Innovation - Economics (excluding MBA)
We may also be able to offer a small number of scholarships in telecommunications studies (Regulations and Management) at a specific university.
Exceptional candidates in other fields may also be considered.
Students on distance learning courses are not eligible for Chevening support.
Please submit your applications from 26 June to 10 October 2007 to any British Council centre in Russia. You can bring your application personally or send it by post. In both cases please indicate “Application pack. Chevening programme” on the envelope.
