Russia marks on Monday Radio Day, professional holiday of those who have devoted their lives to the sphere of information technologies and communications.
Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Leonid Reiman has congratulated all specialists on Radio Day. “Mobile communication, the Internet, digital technologies, satellite television have got a foothold in our life,” the minister noted. “Information communications have become the major component of the social-economic development of our society,” Reiman added.
He stressed that the quality of life of each Russian citizen depends on efficient work of his sector, which is dynamically developing.
The number of Internet users in Russia has grown 35 percent as compared with 2005, and has exceeded 25 million people.
